There are moments that sit quietly between arrival and departure, and this painting emerged from one of them. The shoreline became a place of pause, where land and water meet without conflict or urgency.

As the light settled into the scene, the process felt calm and grounding. I was drawn to the stillness of the trees and the way the water held space rather than movement. This work grew from a desire to honour in between moments, where nothing needs to change, yet everything feels present. It offers a space to rest, reflect, and remain gently anchored before moving forward.
